Community Templates Are Here — Plus a Cleaner Dashboard & Navigation

Built From Your Feedback

Every feature we ship starts with a conversation — and this update is no different. Over the past few weeks we’ve heard the same requests again and again: “Can I use other people’s template designs?”, “The navigation feels crowded”, and “I want a quicker way to get a professional-looking print template.”

So we listened. Here’s what’s new.

Community Templates

This is the big one. You can now browse A4 print backgrounds designed by other QR Vault users and apply one to your QR code in a single click.

  • Browse & filter — search by tags like minimal, neon, rustic, or nightclub to find a style that matches your venue
  • Vote — upvote your favourite designs so the best templates rise to the top
  • Submit your own — upload a JPG or PNG in A4 portrait format, add a title, description, and tags. Once our team reviews and approves it, your design is available for everyone
  • One-click apply — found one you like? Click it, preview it with your QR code, and save. Done

You’ll find Community Templates as a new tab inside the QR code template editor, and there’s a dedicated submission page accessible from your dashboard and the Explore menu.

Smarter Navigation

With more features comes more links — and the top nav was getting cramped. We’ve reorganised it with two tidy dropdown menus:

  • Explore — Showcase, Community Templates, Blog, Tutorial, About
  • Account — Profile, Logout

Your core tools (Dashboard, My QR Code, Gallery, Messages) stay right where they are — one click away. Everything else is neatly grouped. The mobile menu remains unchanged.

Refreshed Dashboard

The quick-action cards on your dashboard now include a Community card, giving you instant access to browse and submit templates. The layout has been updated to a clean five-card grid that scales nicely across screen sizes.

Updated Website Pages

We’ve also refreshed the public-facing pages so new visitors can learn about Community Templates before they even sign up:

  • Features page — new Community Templates card with full description
  • Tutorial — Step 3 now walks through all three template modes: Presets, Community, and Custom
  • FAQ — two new questions covering what community templates are and how to submit your own
  • Pricing — all plans include community templates at no extra cost
  • About — updated to mention community-designed backgrounds

What’s Next?

We’re already working on the next round of improvements. If there’s something you’d like to see, drop us a message — your feedback genuinely shapes what we build.
