We’ve been busy this month! Here’s a quick run-down of everything that’s new in The QR Vault.
Live Upload Counter
Your public upload page now shows a live photo counter — guests can see how many photos have already been shared at your venue. It’s a small thing, but it works brilliantly as social proof. When someone scans your QR code and sees “47 photos shared here”, they’re far more likely to add their own.
Confetti on Upload
Every successful upload now triggers a confetti animation. It’s a fun little touch that makes the whole experience feel more celebratory — which is exactly the vibe you want when guests are sharing moments from a great night out.
“Get This for Your Venue” CTA
After a guest uploads a photo, they’ll now see a subtle “Want this for your venue?” link. It’s non-intrusive and only appears on the success screen, but it’s a great way for The QR Vault to grow organically. If your guests love the experience, they might just want it for their own venue too.
Custom Venue Links
You can now add a custom link button to your upload page — perfect for menus, booking pages, music playlists, tip jars, or anything else. Choose from a range of button types (Menu, Book a Table, Music, Tips, and more) and your guests will see it right on the upload page alongside your social links.
We’ve also added validation to make sure URLs are correct before saving, so no more broken links.
This Blog!
You’re reading it! We’ve added a blog to The QR Vault so we can share updates, tips, and ideas for getting the most out of your QR code. Expect posts on things like where to place your QR code for maximum scans, how to use guest content on social media, and more.
Smarter Consent Screen
The guest consent screen (where visitors agree to terms before uploading) now remembers their choice for the session. So if a guest uploads a photo, taps “Take Another”, they won’t have to agree to the terms again. Small UX win, big difference on a busy night.
Under the Hood
We’ve also made a bunch of reliability improvements you won’t see but will definitely feel:
- Better error handling — uploads are now resilient to background service hiccups. Your photos always get saved.
- Improved email delivery — we fixed an issue with our email system that was causing some verification emails to fail.
- Rate limiting fixes — the spam protection system is now working correctly across all endpoints.
What’s Next?
We’ve got plenty more planned. If there’s a feature you’d love to see, drop us a message — we’re always listening.
